We booked the Potting Shed to celebrate a few birthdays within the family, but we did not use the hotel facilities only the restaurant. The servers were extremely accommodating throughout each course we had through the evening. The food was exceptional and very well cooked. The one complaint we did hear was the soup being a little too sweet but nonetheless everyone enjoyed the starters! The pork belly bites were juicy and the glaze was super tasty! The roasts went down a treat, especially with the complimentary mint and mustard sauces! The beer tap selection was quite good: cobra, peroni, Guinness etc. The pricing of the drinks themselves were also relatively good! Would 100% recommend to anyone that enjoys good food, good service and an amazing atmosphere! Thank you to the Potting Shed Team!

Went for new years, the dj was dreadful and the atmosphere was dead, so we left at 10:30pm. We paid a deposit for 4 people however because 2 of our guests had covid they couldn’t attend and the potting shed wasn’t willing to give our deposits back for those 2 people even though the restaurant was half empty, dreadful not worth the money

We went for our staff Christmas meal. The food was lovely. The service was excellent despite the venue being fully booked. The atmosphere was lovely. It was beautifully decorated. Perfect.

Went here for a birthday dinner tonight. Table of 6 . The service was amazing our waiter was really nice and friendly and was able to make recommendations. Seeing the other food leave the kitchen that looked amazing. The menu was so hard to choose from as everything looked and sounded so nice. We ended up with the fried lasanage beautiful. Pizzas . Kebabs . Burgers . Chefs special . Was all really really nice . Deserts crumble . Brownies. Sticky toffee pudding all very good . Have left very fat and very full . Will defo be going back again . Price was good too . Was expecting to pay alot more . £180 for 6 people wasn't too bad .

First visit to the Potting Shed, a large indoor restaurant with plenty of seating inside and out in the garden. Plenty of parking too. Waitress was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the pizza Caesar, which came with a smoked salmon, anchovies and rocket topping. I ordered extra anchovies for a small price. I was not disappointed, the pizza was lovely and it was a good size too. My friends both ordered the steak ciabatta but both were disappointed at the amount of cheese which sat on top of the steak. They considered the price a little on the high side. The bill included a 12.5% service charge too. I would definitely visit again to enjoy one of their pizzas. The menu was quite extensive and it was difficult to make a choice.

Booked based on reviews. Place was busy and had to wait slightly for our table beyond our time. Food was ok 3 of us - one rib eye, one burger and one pizza, the medium rare steak needed to go back as was under but this was done and cam back lovely, The burger & pulled pork were a little bland tbh & required more seasoning. The pizza was thin & crispy and was voted best by us. With a couple of drinks, no dessert or starter no chance from £100. The waitress Vicki was superb

Pub with outside seating area that has a playground, so very suitable for families with children! They also have a great children's menu with plenty of options. We also appreciated the many vegan options on the menu; the vegan 'fish' and chips were delicious! We did find this place a bit pricey, though, and had to make an effort to catch the servers' attention.

Had Sunday roast at the potting shed. Nice venue, good atmosphere. Service was attentive but not intrusive. However, there was an incredibly long wait for our food due to a mix up in the kitchen. The waitress was apologetic. When the food did come out it looked a bit lacking and sad and there were bits missing.

We ate here last night as the food at our hotel wasn't very good. The parking was great and it waa easy to find We had the best pizza we've had for a long time and the value for money was brilliant. It cost half what we paid at our hotel the night before and the quality of the food and service was far superior at the potting shed. If we're in the area again we will definitely be back.

It was a nice experience. We only went to the restaurant for food and didn't stay in the rooms so cannot comment on those. The staff were friendly and attentive. Service was really quick. The food was presented nicely, tasted good, and portions were a good size. There was a varied menu so you could find something to eat for most dietary requirements. It was a tad on the expensive side in my opinion, which is why the rating is 4/5*. We went for the 5 plates for £32 between 2 of us which was a good amount of food. There was lots of free parking available. Inside the restaurant was clean and rustic. Quite pretty with the decor. There is a nice outside area too. It was busy but not too loud that we couldn't hear what members of our group were saying. There were kids there so I'd say yes it's family-friendly.
